Often, the difference between a promise kept and a promise broken is planning. 

For the past 19 years, since 1989, the Founder of WindReach Farm, Board members, staff, donors, volunteers and many others have been keeping a very simple promise, day after day, year after year, to an ever growing group of individuals, families and over 350 organizations.  The promise to keep delivering on our mission;

WindReach Farm strives to enrich the lives of persons of all ages with disabilities and/or special needs by providing opportunities to enjoy experiences in farming, nature, outdoor recreation & other activities and to share those experiences with family and friends.

Most if not all, of the individuals, families and organizations that participate in our programs and benefit from our facilities are repeat users. For many, WindReach Farm has become a very important part of their life.  Both in our most recent user interviews that were conducted during the preparation of our 2002 strategic plan, and through day to day feedback, one very clear and distinct message is highlighted

From a few hundred visitor and program participants in 1989 to over 22,000 in 2007, WindReach Farm has stood the test of time.  Change and adaptation have been the backdrop through which we continue to keep the promise of delivering on our mission.

The establishment and building of a sustainability fund by WindReach Farm Foundation is one more crucial step in controlling the destiny of our promise.  The goal of the Foundation will be to build a secure and dependable source of funds to maintain our day to day delivery of services and opportunities.  More specifically, the objective is to provide a minimum of 15-25% of our annual budget. The balance will come from our diversified sources of revenue including ongoing fundraising activities, program revenue and operating revenue that includes our farming operation.
