Hi, I am Christy and I am 22 years old. I have been riding the horses at WindReach since I was 9 years old.

 

The horses at WindReach Stables are so special to me because they look at me and walk over to me when they see me. They love when I have apples for them as a treat. My favourite horses are Alex, Ruby, and Vinnie. I love Alex because when I ride him I never have to tell him what to do-he just does it. Alex is special to me because he belonged to Sandy Mitchell, the founder of WindReach. I also love Ruby because she has a kind face and she loves when I pet her face and groom her. I also enjoy trotting on her. I also really like Vinnie because he is good natured and has a good attitude. I like trotting on him too.

Horseback riding is important to me because I feel like myself when I am with the horses. They make me happy and smile. The staff and volunteers at WindReach treat me kindly and respect me for who I am. They never put me down. The horses at WindReach are kind and loving. I love riding because I learn so many different things like being assertive and believing in myself. I don’t know what I would do without WindReach in my life!”
