Recreational Program Assistant
Tasks and responsibilities

Work 1:1 daily with new participants to wool program
-
Strong administrative skills required
-
Help to expand the wool program by promoting in the community, figure out staffing and budget requirements for the expansion
-
Assist with washing, picking, carding and drawing fibres and finishing yarn;
-
Active participant in the weekly wool processing sessions and at special events;
-
Teach wool related activities to adult day program participants, campers and visitors and adapt to their ability;
-
Assist with preparations for summer special events;
-
Able to work individually or in a group setting, will people of all ages and abilities;
-
Knowledge or willingness to learn wool-related activities (wool processing, dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting, etc…);
-
Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment;
-
Good time management skills.
