Job Title: Camp Counselor

The Summer Camp Counsellor is an integral position to promote well being and success for all individuals taking part in our camp programming. This individual provides guidance, care and support to campers with exceptionalities. The support this position provides is endless and invaluable. Job Title: Day Visits Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director

Job Description:
The coordinator of recreation programs carries the highly important job of booking, corresponding, organizing and leading all visits to the farm. Some visits can be smaller family sizes, some large groups scheduling to use the property for a full day. This position is also responsible for booking any overnight accommodations on the property, scheduling this with staff and ensuring a smooth check in procedure. There is a high amount of organization that goes into this role and it is important to have an individual with drive, organization, leadership, teamwork, time management and communication skills.
Throughout this job placement, the individual will acquire and expand upon multiple different tasks and responsibilities. They will grow their ability to time manage, communicate with children, youth and adults of varying needs.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Responsible for corresponding with any inquiring emails or phone calls regarding a visit

Booking overnight accommodations along with scheduling and communicating this with staff

Follow up with any missed or rescheduled visits of overnight accommodations

Job Title: General Labourer

The landscaper position holds value to the farm property by assisting in property maintenance, repairs and projects. This position helps ensure that the property is well maintained and in return, programming can continue in an outdoor environment or designated buildings.
This position will allow the individual to expand their knowledge and experiences amongst a landscaper outlook. They will gain the understanding of the importance their position holds for the operation of the property and programming. The individual will also be able to gain guidance from the Property Manager and show leadership towards the General Labourer position.

Job Title: Stables and Therapeutic Lessons Assistant

This position allows an individual to gain and strengthen skills within the area of stables maintenance and viewing first hand the importance of our therapeutic riding program. This individual plays an important role in ensuring the horses are cared for and able to participate in our therapeutic riding programming. The responsibility this role carries is key to preparing programs and horses for success to serve individuals with exceptionalities. As the number of riders increases, the number of lives touched by this role is greatly valued.
This position will provide the individual with exceptional opportunities to grow and learn alongside other riders, families, staff and volunteers. The skills this individual will acquire will be endless and easily transferable to future life events. These skills will be grown and fostered through their position at WindReach Farm and be shown first hand the impact our skills can have on individuals of all abilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Leading horses during lessons and acting as a supporting side walker for individuals with exceptionalities

Responsible for preparing horses for therapeutic riding lessons such as turn in, grooming and tack up

Under the supervision of the instructor, they will be responsible for preparing the indoor arena area for programming activities

Be involved in creating new activities, games and preparing props for lessons

Strong oral and written communication skills while working alongside other staff and volunteers

Providing leadership for riders to feel confident and capable while they are in programming

Job Title: Therapeutic Garden Assistant

Job Description:
The Therapeutic Garden Assistant carries an important job in assisting in the development and maintenance of the gardens that are used for programming for various ages and abilities of individuals. This position enriches the lives of a vast participant population. Clients coming to the farm have the opportunity to learn and expand knowledge while in our inclusive and welcoming space. The person in this position ensures the safety and wellbeing of clients. During times when no programs are occurring, this person will be required to assist with maintaining both the in ground and raised gardens, as well as to maintain any plants growing in the greenhouse.
The individual will be prepared to work outdoors in various conditions. They will grow their ability to time manage as well as communicate with individuals of all ages and abilities. The position will assist and expand on skills such as leadership, teamwork, horticultural knowledge and knowledge of individual needs.
