Beyond the Farm Gate

We recognize that it is not practical for all groups that could benefit from the therapeutic effect of our animals to come to the Farm. Through the Beyond the Farm Gate (BFG) program, we can bring the Farm to you!

BFG is an innovative program that incorporates all the Farm has to offer into a mobile service which visits users out in the community. As an extension of our popular Day Visitor Program, the BFG program allows individuals to enjoy the educational and therapeutic aspects of WindReach Farm in the comfort of their own facility in the community. The program appeals to a variety of audiences including schools, hospitals, seniors’ facilities, clubs, and organizations. By taking the Farm out into the community, WindReach Farm can better meet the needs of its users while continuing to provide unique farming and nature-related experiences.
Book a one or two-hour visit with our rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens, and we will load up our BFG van and come out to your location. Currently, we are booking visits within the Durham and York Regions.

Animal selection and interactions can be tailored to your group's size and needs. All we need is a space similar to an activity room or classroom to set up in.
